Being Single at Goa... Beaches and a little more!

Tale 2: A Tale of two beaches!

Just as we reached the Baga Beach(North Goa) after much struggle and adventure on the roads...the revelry, the everlasting celebration on the beach, the people moving around in utmost laze like there is no tomorrow and everything in the air helped us release our stress almost immediately. All of us were glad that we reached the place that we had been desiring to be at, for almost a fortnight!
The place just spelt GOA...in its ways, in the food, in every single grain of sand that we stepped on. We decided to come back again to soak ourselves in a better relaxed form, unlike our first encounter with Baga.

The next evening we were a confident bunch with the roads and the place, as if we lived there for months now... Hah! over-confidence is something that suits girls ;) and all seven of us displayed it royally! Reaching the beach much before dusk gave us the chance to see the scene set at the beach from the very beginning. There were a string of boats like a traditional beach would have; then, there were a host of several small restaurant like eat-outs, some of them extended their reach till almost the shore, with beautifully laid out tables and easy chairs of very short height just enough to squat; the show stealer was the candle-light arrangement(a lit-up candle covered with the glass of a lantern)...exotic and definitely romantic!
We ate at Britto's. I must make a mention that Goa has a taste of finesse and everything about it is outright aesthetic! Even the Menu card had a Mario Miranda sketch on it! Cheers to that effort!

Just as we moved on to the beach there were cute little girls with woolen strings in their hands, trying to make a deal for a special "hair strand beading"... a pretty innovation for fashion and fun loving girls;our Neet-Geet duo gave-in to this temptation and prettier they looked.
Don't you miss it!

If you have not planned what all you wish to do at Goa, you are us! :)
Just walk till the shore, lie down and soak! Its a bliss! That was Baga in short for you!

The last day of the super short trip to Goa, was as uncertain as any other! The girls had the GPS handy, but we wanted some undirected pleasure and that lead us to the less explored Carmona Beach(South Goa). We thanked our gods, stars and everything for bringing to this serenity that Carmona filled in us! The beach had only ten people in total, of which we were seven... now you know what I mean! Bliss.
The mid-day sun didn't make us feel one bit upset about being out, that was the magic going on inside each of us. The firm yet mild strokes of the waves, pushed us several meters away from the point where we stood, it felt dramatic and unbelievable; so all of us repeated this exercise and interestingly all of us were pushed back again and again and we didn't stop like little children!

This fantasy land etched itself in my memory with a few more add-ons truly ecstatic in experience. The beach hosted a small little eat-out(the only one) named "Shack by the bay", with a few Firangs sitting and enjoying their lemonade and listening to my favourite song..."Humein tumse pyaar kitna ye hum nahi jaante" in the instrumental version, played on a Hawaiian Guitar...At once life just seemed perfect! And these are the moments we live for. I also remember saying it to Geet, that if I ever wanna die, it would be in this state of mind... absolute!
This beach was it!!! It gave us enough and more motivation to all of us to come back to Goa to explore the less explored, something that the commercial beaches at North Goa couldn't do to us!

True it is... There is something for everyone in this world, you just need to make a little effort and have a lot of willingness to know "what you want". We want South Goa, a few more serene beaches, leisure moments and memories that can help us through the working days and not feel worked up about it!

Truly loved holidaying at Goa.
